Clerkenwell 060

HEAT created 14 apartments from an uninspiring concrete 1960's office development, securing planning permission to add two luxurious penthouse apartments at roof level.

Panoramic views and full-height glazing providing a sense of space in a dense urban setting. The concrete frame of the original building was stripped back and revealed and full-height glazing inserted. Working within the constraints of an existing, occupied building was challenging both in terms of the build and the layouts, so it is all the more remarkable that the interiors were constructed to lifetime homes standards and are fully accessible for wheelchair use. The striking interiors were developed with British interior designer Tara Bernerd.

This highly successful landmark development sold out immediately on coming to market.
